OUR DENTISTS
James B. Platek, DDS
Dr. James Platek graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1978. He did his residency at St. Vincent Medical Center in 1979. Prior to studying at Dental School, he attended John Carroll University where he received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science.
Dr. Platek has been practicing for over 40 years. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Platek has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. He also has a diploma in Orthodontics and is certified in Laser Surgery.
Chun-Yu Liu, DMD
Dr. Chun-Yu Liu attended one of the country’s top Ivy League institutions, the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he graduated in 2006 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree.
He has received many honors, including the 2006 Achievement Award in Pharmacology and Therapeutics, the 2006 American Equilibration Society Award, the 2006 PASS-International Dentist Award, the 2006 Outstanding Performance in the Pre-Doctoral Endodontic Program, and the 2006 National Board Achievement. Dr. Liu was a teaching assistant at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Liu has been practicing for 13 years in Toledo area. He regularly attends continuing education courses, keeping up with the latest dentistry offers. He is a member of the Toledo Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, the American Dental Association. Dr. Liu’s personal philosophy for his practice is to provide comprehensive, gentle dental care at the highest level of quality and service. Dr. Liu lives with his wife Chia-Chi and their son in Toledo. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
